Pediatric Grand Rounds

The current issue of Pediatric Grand Rounds has just been released at Awesome Mom.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, this edition has a heart theme and examines congenital heart defects, which affect about 1% of newborns. Neonatal doctors and nurses have contributed excellent professional accounts of the risks, presentations, complications and care of babies born with cardiac problems and other heartbreaking health problems. And the host shares a touching parent’s perspective, talking about their eldest boy who was born with a heart defect.
